Bioparc Fuengirola is a popular modern zoo located in the center of Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol. It is known for its “immersion zoo” style, which means visitors walk through natural-looking environments that recreate real ecosystems such as Madagascar, Equatorial Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Indo-Pacific.

Instead of traditional cages, the zoo uses open spaces, rocks, rivers, and lush vegetation to separate animals in a more natural and respectful way. This makes the experience feel like stepping directly into the animals’ habitats. The zoo focuses strongly on animal welfare, conservation, and breeding of endangered species.

Bioparc Fuengirola is designed as a peaceful and educational place for families, couples, and all nature lovers. Throughout the zoo you will find shaded paths, waterfalls, wooden bridges, and hidden viewing points where you can observe animals up close. Visitors often describe it as one of the most beautiful and well-designed zoos in Spain.

It is easy to walk around, offers dining options, and has shows or educational talks depending on the season. Whether you’re spending the day in Fuengirola or visiting from nearby towns, the zoo is one of the top attractions in the area.

“ Bring cold bottled water and wear loose, flowy clothing as this got very hot in August. ”
